JFSJ and the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS) have convened the Jewish Taskforce for Comprehensive Immigration Reform, a national taskforce of Jewish organizations working on comprehensive immigration reform. Member organizations include Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, United Jewish Communities, UJA Federation-New York, Jewish Council for Public Affairs, Jews United for Justice, Religious Action Center, Workmen’s Circle, Anti-Defamation League, Jews for Racial and Economic Justice, Progressive Jewish Alliance, National Council of Jewish Women, American Jewish Committee, Jewish Council on Urban Affairs, Jewish Community Relations Council of Tucson, Jewish Community Action, Jewish Labor Committee, Shalom Center, Jewish Alliance for Law and Social Action, Avodah, and B’nai Brith.
Selah participants include leaders from Migrant Rights Center, Minnesota Immigrant Freedom Network, New York Civil Liberties Union, New York Immigration Coalition, Service Employees International Union (SEIU), and Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition and many more. Through Selah, these particpants have become more effective leaders in their work on behalf of immigrants and immigrant communities.
